There is something seriously wrong with voting out a player based on his performance. If you are owning a game, there should be no reason you are punished for being a better player than the rest.

 

Perhaps the vote kick needs to be disabled for now.

Another game where I was votekicked out. Just because I was owning. It's so sad that you'll get so far in a game, and once you finally start to pull ahead, two little newbie kids votekick you out. I know you were against this stormahawk and it really needs to be out of the game. It does nothing.

This can ruin a game or save the game.

Same concept with most things, things can be abused, or used to save games by kicking laggers, hackers, or someone truly ruining the game.

How can someone hack? It's a way for a child to say "I want to win! Not you!" it serves no purpose but to dumb-down the game. I know if I'm getting killed, and there is no way I can catch up, I'll man up and quit. You know robosaur is making a new game right? So what I see almost every game, is where I'm destroying half of the map, and I get the guys whos base I am destroying come up with a votekick, to try and save his ass.

Votekick I have seen has done lot more good then harm, it helps us get rid of laggers, thus make games better and not take forever to play

Yes robosaur is a bot. Anyways, I have not seen any laggers. Eventually a person will lag out anyhow. The game lags whenever someone abruptly leaves.

 

Not when someone has a poor connection and is lagging, with a full house =D

Make it require a vote from all current players except the one being voted.

Works fine for Legion TD.

 

It works for laggers. But it's also being abused by noob players. Instead of kicking your ass kicked and learning from it, they know they can just votekick to win.

 

I'd say that maybe only team mates could vote-kick, or go with Shyhalu's idea and make it need a mega-majority.

Here's the situation that really ircked me. I was Panda, he doesn't have a good ultimate in my opinion. And the only people left on the map were red and LB. Red had Bloodmage, and LB had Beastmaster. Beastmaster had Druids that were pumped up Bloodmage was upgrading. Anyone who's played as Panda knows he is pure hero. Right when I was starting to catch up in units, I was immediately votekicked out. Obviously because I was becoming a challenge. It's in those situations where it was abused.

Guns are dangerous, we use them for safety and hunting, if someone goes out and kills people with it, should the government take away all our rights to carry weapons and be safe? Or toss them because some abuse it?

Um no, I'm right on topic, you apparently can't see when someones making a example. Including a relevant example to my point, I use them all the time.

Hate to lose? Are you even reading my posts? I don't bitch and moan about losing, sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, I finish a game, I dont pm the user yelling at them, I go to the next game with a fresh face.

Just because a a low few abuse the system doesn't mean the system should be taken out, and from what I've seen, its done more good then bad. Though I do agree with shockers point, it should be a 2/3 vote, I didn't know it wasn't that already xD.

It's actually underused in my opinion. Unfortunately, most of the people on Bnet are too incompetent to realize the proper command to vote even if they are sentient enough to have an opinion on whether the person in question should be kicked.

Can you make a rule that everybody who lods with less then e.g. 25kb/s will be autokicked?
Sometime there is sb who need 10 min to download the the map. And make the other wait.

 

Tbh, this feature is pretty useless, harassers are almost always those who are getting owned.
