In all honesty I want a sig with a kickass picture of Altair (from Assasin's creed) and the text being "Slashlord" Also, I want the colors to be very cold and dark. That's all of my requirements dao. Other then that, go nuts. (Any kind of blood splatter would be cool if you could possibly work that in, but if it doesn't look cool don't worry bout it.

 

I want a signature as well, a new one would be quite nice to have. My work is quite disapointing chrance, i expected it to be at least somewhat decent, but comparing it to others it seems that i just create an abstract background and throw a render/sh!tty text in and a border then change the overall color, i've been going through some tutorials, and practicing some new techniques my newest signature won't be released for a while so sorry for any inconvenience

A simple advice would be that the color of the background should relate to the render. Also, I believe someone once told me that the render is the focus of the signature, not the background or text. I could be wrong since it's been awhile since I last made a graphic and I wasn't really talented back then.

 

no your actually right, i'm beginning to focus more on making the render the main piece also adding texts that go with the render and proper colours.. although it is hard but practice makes perfect!

yeah dude, try out some new tricks you see from others and play with effects.

have fun with it and dont worry, theres no rush on anything.

 

the hardest part, really is the fact of blending all the colors with the render, and knowing what to blur and where to blur, i'm gonna search for tutorials wen i can but its hard finding them for GIMP, 90% of them are focused on Photoshop which is too expensive for me atm

dude it looks great don't worry about it. i love it. its alot better than the one i used to have. that one was my sad attempt to make a signature. i didnt even use GIMP or anything like that , i cant figure those things out.

i just used Paint To add the name and i blacked out a small section , thats all i did. lol it worked good enuff until i could get one made by someone who knew what they were doing.

i think its just because if they have a lower price they will sell more copies and in the long run that makes them more money than having a game cost like $100 and having half the people buy it than would if it was $60
