Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

I know I allready told you on MSN, but just a post to have it all in over overview.

As requested I timed the difference in leveling the same levels of the same jobs in both Lothlorien and the Snowy Mountains.

Leveling the Thief from level 50 to level 75 in Lothlorien took 31 minutes.
Leveling the Thief from level 50 to level 75 in the Snowy Mountains took 8 minutes.
Leveling the Geomancer from level 50 to level 75 in Lothlorien took 41 minutes.
Leveling the Geomancer from level 50 to level 75 in the Snowy Mountains took 9 minutes.

I leveled on very easy, have close to the best equipment available and have multiple jobs Ultimately Mastered, but still I think the creeps in the Snowy Mountains give too much experience compared to how easy they can be killed.

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

Seriously?
My character is too weak.
I have only two jobs mastered and it takes two hours of patrolling in the forest to move from 70-77.

Would you rather like the creeps to be harder to kill or give less EXP?

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

Nazzov, the problem is, you have too much power to lv on snow area, the monster there are stronger than in lotherien, so it should give more exp,

your example is broke because you already are too stronger for they.

would be the same think if i told you

i have 3 job mastered and some good equips, and lving from 1-20 on the jungle (argh, i complety forgot the name of the 1 jungle you lv) take about 20 minutes, but if i train on centaurs it only takes 5-6 minutes

centaur gives too much exp for so easy they are...

but you have to take in account that they are easy because you are more equiped and with some job mastereds, meaning that boths monster either on jungle or in centaurs will be easy for you. but that dont means that they have the same dificult

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

I understand what you say, but since it is impossible to even get into the Snowy Mountains on low level I would think you would have to be strong to kill there.
I understand they are of a higher difficulty, but they give allmost half a level's worth of xp at level 50 and in your example that doesn't happen in the Barrens, yes, Centaurs give more xp then Spiders, but not half a level's worth.

I remember actually getting to the snow mountains with a lvl 80+ sorcerer and only 2-3 lvl 50 masteries and although i was able to kill the enemies, it took me a minute or more for each kill, so at the time, it was actually easier to get exp in loth. Thats no longer true after getting a few ultimate masteries though.

Why I don't see any monster in snowy mountains or is it just the 8.7.9 version?

We don't have any 3D Modeler in our team. It would also need much space to replace the 22 jobs with extra models. Could double the actual map size.

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

the prioryt is make the map fully compatible with war 1.24, and bug free, after that we will think in putting new content, but for now we will stick with bug correction and compatibility, and maybe a new thing or 2.

Don't really think Pointo3aBp ment it should be in this release, but still, stuff like this is better posted in the submission board.

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

well, he did told on 8.9 version, that by logic would be the next version(even if we know that will not be 8.9 the number), since the latest number map i 8.8.

so, yes, he did mention the changes on next version.

but nevermind, as Nazzov told, use submission boards to make sugestions =)

New Models aren't planed for the next or the next after the next nor the next after the next of the next. @.@

It's not real content which increases the fun or playtime of the map. We believe in more quests, enemies, items and functions.

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

Hi, i play version 0.8.8.1 BETA and was wondering if those load codes can be used on any newer version because i've spent LOTS of time training my jobs and have most of them mastered and 3 ultimately mastered. So will i be able to use it in a new version, or in any other version?

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

Sorry, but no, the codes from 0.8.8.1 can not be used in the new version coming out. Because of WC3 patch 1.24 the save/load system had to be rewritten so you will have to start again. But there are new quests and areas since 0.8.8.1 so I don't think you will be too disapointed to start again.

Re: Leveling times in Lothlorien and Snowy Mountains.

today, i levelled an oracle from slightly below lev 50 to sth about 80 just cause i wanted to do typhoon before quitting... these creeps there give seriously way too much xp.

another point: the main way to increase creep difficulty seems to be slightly improving damage, giving slightly stronger spells and dramatically increasing hp and armor... just curious why there can't be creeps that actually deal damage instead of just tank tank tank...
it would be challenging, if more creeps there had bashes, spell resistance, etc. also damage aura, endurance aura etc. would be kinda nice on them.

tanky creeps with auras and bit less tanky creeps with a terribly high damage output would be nice...
more damage, more damage, more damage...
it's like the strongest creeps in the game just barely manage to one hit the weakest ones while the weakest ones couldn't even scratch them beating them for like an hour... an increase in damage output for stronger creeps would make the game way more challeinging... Wooh my samurai can stand in the midst of 239874935878 creeps without taking any damage cause they don't even manage to punch down his ****ing image...

Try Hard or Very Hard. You would be surprised how game gets harder.

that's exactly what i do in singleplayer yet on bnet, every1 just spams VE votes so your VH vote just gonna shift it to easy...

vh still suffers the same problem: creeps just got too high hp compared to their still non existant damage output... They just need to deal more damage...

yet another idea, how about adding a passive similar to incinerate to some creeps?`would dramatically increase their damage outputs on higher difficulties as they will just stack and stack and stack the damage...

Currently, the only source of difficulty, creep strength etc is their hp and armor while damage doesn't change that much...
