NEW! Citymaul TD 4.0

The almost final Citymaul TD 4.0 is out now! Its something that any maul players might not want to miss out on! TRY IT NOW!!!

Whats new in this version?
-Added 9 new elements
-Added a mini spawn for Gray
-Changed towers' descriptions
-Changed how difficulty works
-Terrian fixes
-Towers with more unique skills and theme
-Bug fixes
-Removed early boss level
-Balanced and fix hot keys for elements
-and much more! Play to feel the change!

This version is not the final and if you spot any errors, bugs or places to fix/balance, please dont hesitate to email me or post in the forums about them! There are no positive nor negative comments but only constructive comments! I hope I will receive a whole lot more constructive comments so that I could further improve on the map! Didn't notice until yesterday! Its finally here!

Here's my first impression from like 10 games. I am actually playing one now, at lvl 34.

Game is hard at the beginning, which is good, have a lot of chance to lose up to round 15-20. Then the game goes a bit easier starting from maybe 20s~ and up, everyone is quitting because of how boring it is, and how slow it is (Talking about 50 rounds). Especially since there are like 17 more rounds! Haven't leaked for awhile, and even if we did no one cared anymore. 50 Rounds is way too long, especially since each race there are only ~6 Towers, we'd get bored from building the same tower dozens of times. The game was lagging like crazy at lvl 30s, when there are like 4 players left. 30 Rounds are much more balanced and fun, although I like it more when creeps run through maze and die inside rather then killing them off before they go in. ;D

I love the Shipyard, it's a great idea. I think it lags the game a lot late game though. The Aura Idea is cool, but the Race that is supposed to be good against boss is actually pretty bad against bosses. Melee race is even better, with arthas at killing bosses. I don't like the idea of the secret race, because frankly, no one will know how to use it. Waste of time making a race no one can use =/.

I love the blade race as well! We need more melee races, they are very fun to use . What else...Bosses are much more fair now, no more server split it seems. From what I have seen, mazing is only for beginning few rounds, and then once you have the 4-6 level towers you wont need a maze no more, as you kill them before they get out which makes the game very boring, although that mainly happens because of the money you get from leavers which there are always plenty in every game. You get so much gold from selling thier towers, you gonna be building very strong towers that can easily wipe out the spawns. You won't be leaking for a good 5-10 rounds without building sometimes. It's like I want to continuing my maze but there are no point. Guess all mauls are like that.

People still mass detectors! and Lost two games because Gray didn't build any at all! LOL. Nothing you can do because it is thier fault haha.

Haven't gotten a chance to try the old races yet.

Overall so far, I see a lot of improvements, especially at Tower descriptions, they are great. Only negative I have is that round 50 is too boring and easy, everyone leaves cause of boredom/lag. It would be great if there were 1-3 more towers each race to add more diversity, might be asking too much here. Or give free lumber at 30 to make people choose another race. Still, 1-3 more towers would be wonderful ;3.

Great map thank you for it! I'll be hosting it some more.

Pretty much agree with Kurasaki.

I would also add that there's too many towers with 0 (or really close to) second cooldown. More damage and attack speed range would make more diversity.

50 levels with only 6 towers per race does feel really long (add to that the lag..)

I would max the range at 2k on all towers over 2k (duh) because ks just isn't cool. Especially laser on boss rounds. I understand that Tech element has range as it's strong point, but a tower with 1.5k dmg huge splash and something like 7k range...

I have no idea how to unlock the secret yet, even with the command.

Other than that, it's a really fun map. I'm playing it on hard 30 lvl and it's a lot more fun than 50 lvl on easy I can tell you that.

Ok, blades aren't that great. I mean, the first towers are used to maze, but they are practically useless, unless chosen as a second race to maze for other RANGED towers to benefit from. This race relies on one upgraded tower to kill, so mazing is worthless. What's worst, I tried mazing the first time the first round with all my gold, had 30 blades *None upgraded" I think, and I only killed 6. 6 Creeps!! That's terrible, first round!!! I want to be able to maze with this race, like make a giant maze of cheap towers that can actually do something. Wintermaul Prime has a race that is very similar to this, maybe you should try it out. lols.

EDIT;

Tried the Air race on red, wtf!! I leaked A LOT on round 15. I had the lighting rev, two archers, a couple of dozen lizards, the naga, and no good? That's really bull**** since this is supposedly an AA race. I think it's because of the fact that RED, BLUE, and TEAL's air seperate so much the splash is practically useless. I think them having a spell like Warcraft Mauls Rifleman would be a much better idea. Instead, like lightning storm hits 15 air units or something. Maybe it's just me, but then I would atleast expect it to kill more then half...

Thank you for your comments! It really will help me alot in making a better one in the very future!

#1) Mazing Blades as the name is, is only for mazing. To make the actual maze work you have to at least upgrade one to the next tier. I made the Mazing Blades these way (Low damage and speed) because its 2 gold and can allow you to maze, too cheap to be good!

#2) I will do something about the red spawn's air! I agree that you will still leak in red's spawn due to them spreading. Rest assured something will be done to it in the next version.

haha

nice idea to add a secret race but i think melee empire or shipyard are much better. the secret race should be stronger.
it took about 5 hours to find the solution (my friends helped me of course)

a little clue: Detectors are very important

I just hope you guys enjoy playing my map! I will try my best to come out with a better version than the current one as soon as possible with all the possible fixes and balances!

Alright, the main reason I'm posting something is about that secret race... Ive spent hours trying to figure out what to type. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to kill the kid :/. Other then this the game rocks, the best maul I've played and I like the variety of races, very nice, but if you could please push me in the right direction for the secret race I would like to give it a try thanks!

Well uh, this is about the secret. In a game i played recently we saw The kid, and tavern and the One on the bottom left, but i've been trying again and the bottom left kid never appears anymore, any ideas?

There is only 1 kid, 1 tarvern and 1 guy in the bottom left for 1 game. So this means if they (kid/guy) are dead or gone, they are gone for the game. To make them appear, well, rehost and re-play it. This is to restrict to 1 person to have the 'secret race' in any 1 game.

Can any1 please just show the right direction on how to get to e secret race ? I'm really getting frustrated about the secret race .. i cant see any guy, kids or traven .. and i wanted to find out the secret race ability.. so please .. any1 ... jus any1 can please tell ..? email me or put it in this forum ..i really appreciate it .. thank you

Hii im a citymaul player .. im tryin to figure out the secret races. but im only up to the building on the bottom right corner , guy on the bottom left corner and the little kid ... then im lost on what im doin ... can some 1 help me out with this plz thx if yu can repost something for me

Thx alot for the help .. i finally found it lmao .. took me like few hours to get that **** .. well it pretty fun tryin to solve something in the game while playin it at the same time .. fun map keep it up with these secret stuff .. very fun to play like this lol .. and thx alot for the clues yu gave me ;] .

i detected the knight kid and tavern i read the tavern i kept trying secretenable even electricity/i have electricity i even use the long range lighting thingy to kill the kid -_- wat the hell am i suppose to do? tip? the tavern only tells me hes afraid of something? i even used electricity race but range not far enuff to kill knight lol

I've made this way that 'ALL' players can get the element so this means that it doesn't really matter what element you choose. There is something to do with the 2 squares below the map after you type the code.

Hi Ud is the code secretenable? must I type -? some race towers cant reach so far =( so im confused. Also one of the races has a major game breaking bug.

Hey, i need your help....i got the code by playing all the 50 rounds, i found the "tavern" and the soldier....i killed him and got the sword....i know where the child is, but i cant bring the dragon to him....can some1 help me?

Clue: There's something to do with the hint given by the 'stuff' in the 2 squares below the map.. check them out

PS: can't be giving the secrets out if not there won't be fun hunting for them

The little boy is at the statue middle statue

all u need to do is juz drag one end to another end like u
command a group of soldier u will found it it is behind the
statue all u need is a ward with max upgrade near dere

Select the the text for a spoil...

Spoil start.
To get the secret element, first type "-enablesecret", without the quotes.
Then build a detector at the absolutely bottom left corner and upgrade it until you see someone in a knight armor.
Use the "Unstuck" ability of your race's builder to kill him and pick up the Sword of Mystery.
Next build a detector close to gray's spawn and upgrade it until you can select the little kid hiding behind the knight statue.
Left-click the sword to use it and summon his pet dragon, and "fuse" them by having the dragon attack the kid.

Spoil end.

i tried using the dragon to attack the boy, but it cnt work , i cant seem to select him. as in, i cnt use the dragon to hit him as i cnt click the boy,

pls help? i did what u said, but how do i "FUSE" them together or so called use the dragon to attack him.. i click on dragon and cant right-click/attack on The Kid. please help... thanks

press att den insert keep on presing u see the screee turn..

Don't really get what you mean but the secret element is built there? There is an empty slot (reserved for the secret element)
